HACHIJI-DACHI - natural posture, feet hip-width apart

ZEN-KUTSU-DACHI - "front" posture, 60% of the weight on the front leg, 40% on the back

KO-KUTSU-DACHI - "back" stance, 30% of the weight on the front leg, 70% on the back

KIBA-DACHI - "iron rider" stance, feet parallel, knees spread, weight distribution 50% on each leg

KOSA-DACHI - standing with legs crossed and knees together

RENODZI-DACHI - heels on one line, feet form the letter L, natural posture

HANGETSU-DACHI - half-moon position

SHIKO-DACHI - similar to KIBA-DACHI only the feet are extended at a 45% angle

lateral stance, where the feet are turned 45° outwards; body weight 50%:50%.
